Abstract:

The purpose of the research is to gather material for the Modern and Contemporary Messinian History. Two Groups have been created. The first group has focused its research on the history of migration of Messinia in the decades 1950-1960 and the second on the processes of urban formation of the cities of Messinia from 1950 to 1970. Recently two members of the Group began to investigate the results of the earthquake. of 1986 in the city of Kalamata. The groups of the Group are in the phase of gathering their material and will be consumed with issues of archiving and further processing.
