Abstract:

The purpose of the thesis was to examine with a research tool life narratives and narrative analysis, the life experiences of female scientists in Greece - university researchers and professors distinguished in their field - and the factors that influenced them. with science, engineering, technology and mathematics, and identify what were the key factors that influenced these women to pursue scientific activity above areas.Through narrative interviews, I sought to see how they form their subjectivity by delineating the course of their lives and talking about their relationships with others, their struggles to combine family obligations with their profession. Within their narratives, there are internal tensions, ambiguities in the course of the narratives, counter-narratives in relation to the dominant reasons for the issues raised in the debate, some consistent patterns among women.
