Abstract:

The research was designed to study the participants of the 4th European Social Forum held at the Olympic venues of the old airport in Elliniko (04-07 / 05/2006). The purpose of the research was to investigate the social profile of participants, their political perceptions, and their degree of involvement and identification with the movement against neoliberal globalization and its demands - both in Greece and elsewhere.Among the aims of the research was to examine the participants' views on some of the critical questions that were at the time the social forums, such as the participation of political parties, the funding of official bodies, etc. At the same time, the focus was on the repertoires. action taken by the participants, and the effectiveness they attributed to them.The research also aimed to outline the organizational networks behind the organization of the forum, analyzing the organizational and overlapping integrations of the participants. Finally, he aspired to enlighten some aspects of the participants' 'activist career', emphasizing the relationship between past / present organizational integration
